Fast shutter speed
What action did you freeze? (Describe). Jumping, flipping, and running.
What was your distance, and point of view for the photo? Distance was up close and using the rule of thirds in some photos while others had a main focal point in the center of the images.
Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, contrast...) Rule of thirds is shown because not all the photos have the subject in the center of the image. The grass also shows texture and all the photos show good color.
Approximately what shutter speed did you use to freeze action? 1/600

Motion
What motion, or part of the image shows blur? (Describe). The silver pom pom shows blur at the bottom where the main movement is shown, and the globe shows motion because it was spinning which caused the photo to be blurry.
What was your distance, and point of view for the photo? All the photos were up close and centered for the most part.
Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, contrast...) The water pictures show shape and texture as well as the pom pom pictures.
Approximately what shutter speed did you use to purposely blur action? 1/30 of a second.

Painting with light
Reflection
Describe one of your photos from painting with light. The photo with the rainbow colored lights was taken while I spun the lights in a circle and it created a circle of light.
What shutter speed did you have the camera on? 1/800
What light source did you use to create the painting? We used white and rainbow colored string lights with the glowing ball.
How did you achieve the image/effect? Kaitlyn took the photos while I moved the light around.
What impact does the photo have? How would the viewer feel looking at your photo? It shows different direction and colors. The viewer would feel that the photo shows patter and color.

Changing Hue and Saturation
Aperture
Select one of your images that show a shallow depth of field.
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a shallow depth of field? f/4 & f/5.6
What ISO and WB settings did you use? 1/800
Discuss one of your images that show a large depth of field.
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a large depth of field? f/18 & f/22
What ISO and WB settings did you use? 1/800
Which photo is better? Why? I think the first skull photo is better because it shows shallow depth of field and has proper exposure and good lighting compared to the other photos.
Why would you want to use a shallow depth of field? Because it emphasizes a certain object and shows more detailed compared to large depth of field.
When/in what situation would a large depth of field be better? If you were photographing a landscape a large depth of field would work better because it would be able to focus on the whole photo rather than one specific spot or subject in the photo.
